Trainers
 

 

All of Fitness Together's trainers undergo at least 2 weeks of internal training to receive Fitness Together's own certification before privately training clients. They also have other certifications or education, but all are highly knowledgeable in exercise science and the human body, and all have top notch "people skills". Unlike other fitness facilities at which personal training is a sideline, and just about any "warm body" can get a training job, at Fitness Together many candidates are interviewed for each available position. You can always be assured each and every one of our trainers will give you premium results. All trainers are certified in CPR and AED.

Bruce Carpman

Bruce is the owner of Fitness Together. Although Bruce does not train individual clients anymore, he remains commited to the quality of all of his trainers. By focusing on hiring and training the best trainers in town, Bruce's time is utilized assuring top quality and consistency between trainers for EVERY client (not just the few he could train personally). Laura Lopes

Laura has a BS in Health and Exercise Science from Grand Valley State. She is currently working towards becoming a Physical Therapist. Fitness is a passion for Laura. She works out on a daily basis. Laura always has a smile on her face, and she'll make sure you always leave with a smile as well.

 

 

Bill Ring

Bill is our Troy Studio Manager. He came to us from the now defunct gym at Square Lake raquet club. Their loss is our gain. He came to us highly recommend by both his former clients and former employer. Bill is certified through the American Council on Exercise and has been pursuing a degree in Exercise Science/Physiology at Oakland Community College. Bill had spent 8 years in the U.S. Army, which he credits, for getting him in the best shape he has ever been.

 

Stephanie Putnam

Although I'm not exactly a cut-throat businessman, I'm glad to have stolen this trainer away from a nearby competitor, where she was greatly underappreciated. Stephanie is a little quite at first, but don't be fooled. She was valedictorian of her high school, and completed what I feel has to be the most complete personal training instruction around, the 500 hour National Personal Training Institute!

 

Lena Kostyuk

Lena has made working out a regular part of her life since a young age. In 2000 she decided to take her strength training to a new level becoming both a body builder and power lifter. In 2002 she won the single female and the couples championship in the Ukraine. She started here in the US at one of the "big gyms" before becoming discouraged by the lack of professionalism. Lena is also a mother of one and a massage therapist. Don't be intimidated by her experience though, she knows how to tone it down for beginners.

 

Krystal Bogan

Krystal comes to us with experience as a personal trainer where she's had a variety of clientle helping them reach their individual goals. She started out in the health care field at St. Clair County Community College where she has two years of Nursing School under her belt. While working in the Nursing field she obtained her B.L.S., C.P.R., A.E.D., E.K.G., and Telemetry Certifications. Shortly after school she decided to make a career change to follow her love for fitness and helping others. She then went one to get her Personal Training Certificate through International Sports Science Association.

 

Victor Oddo

Victor is a 2006 graduate of the National Personal Training Institute; a 500-hour hands on training course where he was taught a multitude of comprehensive training techniques, diet strategies and guidelines. He has had an insatiable hunger for fitness since he was 14 years old. Victor has constantly trained and read everything he could find on the subject of fitness, which has led him to Fitness Together. He currently attends college and plans to achieve a doctoral level in clinical psychology.

 

Craig Walsh

Like a lot of us, after high school Craig gained a few pounds and decided to start working out. He was shocked at how much he enjoyed that lifestyle. He happened to get an email from the National Personal Training Institute so decided to start studying what he was already enjoying. In 2005 Craig attended NPTI and went on to obtain an additional certification thru the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2006. Soon after we were lucky enough to add him to our staff. Craig is mild in manner but gives a challenging workout everytime. His technical skills as a trainer and knowledge of the human body has recently resulted in a promotion to "Trainer of Trainers" status, where he is responsible for continuing education for the rest of our staff.

Victor Cugliari

Victor has been involved in fitness since he was a child playing hockey, a sport his clients know he still enjoys today. He has an interest in all sports especially karate and beach volleyball. In 2006 he found a way to turn his love of health and fitness into a career helping others achieve thier goals. He logged his 500 hours of training and graduated from The National Personal Training Institute in 2006. Victor enjoys helping all his clients work toward better health. He plans to continue his education in sports medicine.

 

Jared Freeman

Jared is a certified personal trainer with the NSCA. He is currently attending Oakland University, majoring in Wellness health promotion and minor in exercise science. Jared has been involved in fitness for over 10 years, and bodybuilding for 5 years. He enjoys lifting, cooking, music and sports.


 

Jenna Neumann

When Jenna graduated from the National Personal Training Institute, Fitness Together hired her right away. She has a wonderfully upbeat personality that clients really appreciate. She is extremely excited about her career with Fitness Together, and continuing her education. When Jenna isn’t helping others, she is outside running or lifting weights herself.

 

 

Brad Ettinger

Brad is our Bloomfield Hills studio manager. Brad has fitness training certifications through both N.A.S.M. and I.S.S.A. Prior to joining Fitness Together as a trainer, he was a fitness consultant for a large home-fitness equipment company. He enjoys nothing more than watching clients reach their personal goals, and stands by his statement that he has not yet had a single bad day at Fitness Together.
